I am convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say climate change is real because of the changes in climate I have seen being made in the world, not first hand but through videos. One enormous change is that the ice caps have been melting, leaving animals like polar bears to struggle for survival. Now, to continue, I believe that humans have played a part in the changes in climate, but I don't believe that humans exactly caused it but instead accelerated the process. For the climate has changed on earth several times before without human intervention such as the ice age. It should be noted, that if we as humans did not do things such as pollute the air and contribute to climate change it would not be happening right now, but it would still happen far into the future due to natural causes.

Climate change does indeed exist and it’s affecting one of the largest ice caps in Peru. Thousands of people who rely on the ice caps for fresh water and electricity are the ones who are being most affected. About 600 feet melt every year, by the time 2100 the caps would be entirely melted and the people’s resources would be gone. Most believe that greenhouse gases which is CO2, Methane and Nitrous oxide are to blame because they keep the earth warm. Then burning fuel is also to blame because it also produces CO2, these believes causing all the ice to thin over the past half century.
   
    Another cause is the rising sea level which causes erosions, causing there to be less and less land. To make the rising sea level worse some places have human engineering. They have people who search for oil drill to remove the subsurface liquid increasing the risk of the land to sink. Then adding fresh water and salt water together it threatens their sources of drinking water and causes trouble  for farmers trying to grow crops which becomes problematic for the population. That’s not eve n everything about our Earth that is changing so is our ocean’s conveyor belt. Propelled by wind and different water densities changes temperatures which cools or warms up Earth's terrestrial surface. This is what transfers heat from the Equator  to the poles.

     What runs the conveyor belt is called “Thermohaline” which means “heat” and “salt” Changes in the water temperature is very important if it is too cold it can have drastic effects on the ocean’s conveyor belt. Robert Gagosian, president and director of an oceanographic institution warns that too much change in ocean temperature can slow down or even halt the conveyor belt. Doing so would cause a drastic climate change that would happen in a decade. This proves how the ocean holds the key to Earth’s climate. The CO2 on the ocean surface rise the same as the atmosphere CO2. From 820-1,476 ft the CO2 levels doubled. http://environment.nationalgeographic.c … aw/#page=4.
