The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Climate change IS real and some of it IS human-caused. We do a good job of polluting the air and burning fossil fuels to add to the carbon dioxide in the air.
I think you are right, there are multiple human-caused things responsible for global warming and climate change. Co2 emissions have increased dramatically, and are becoming active problems. Minimizing these problems is possible. Combined effort from multiple major countries that contribute to the fossil fuel productions can help decrease the dangers of climate change. Without doing anything to help decrease our CO2 emissions, the world will quickly feel the effects of climate change.
The CO2 productions have gone up quickly due to the use of electricity and fossil fuel inflating. Plants absorb CO2, and emit oxygen, which helps maintain a natural balance. However, too much CO2 is being emitted into the air, and soon the plants will not be able to absorb any more of the CO2. Once this happens, the climate change dangers will become reality. Water level and temperatures will rise dramatically, environments will change, and animals as well as people will be in danger. In order to prevent this from happening, we need to cut down on our use of electricity. If we can get rid of most of the productions of CO2, then we can help avoid the dangerous results of climate change.
