I am convinced that climate change is a real, human created issue. I am convinced because I believe in the verity of science as well as the verity of the changing world. For instance, NASA has shown that carbon dioxide levels have risen by nearly 100 parts per million over the previous maximum carbon dioxide levels in the past 400,000 years. Also, the sea levels have risen by 17 centimeters in the last century, and the rate of increase in the past decade doubled the rate of increase in the past century. This shows how sea levels are rising much more rapidly than it normally does due to rising temperatures and melting sea ice. Furthermore, the ocean is becoming growingly acidic because as more carbon dioxide enters the air, more carbon dioxide is absorbed into the oceans, leading to ocean acidification. In fact, nearly 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide are being dissolved into the oceans a year. Also, most of the carbon emissions on our planet come from humans due to our manufacturing, transportation, and many other things. The only way that evidence could change my mind t hat global warming is a real, human created issue is if there is some hard evidence that shows global warming comes from a different, non-human related source.

We are the cause of global warming. On the website, http://ncse.com/climate/climate-change-101 they say, “Carbon dioxide is produced when humans burn gasoline, natural gas, and coal to produce electricity and drive cars, trains, ships, and aircraft. This carbon dioxide is the major factor responsible for warming the atmosphere.”  This means that when we drive we are polluting the air with gases and carbon dioxide. Our actions affect our current lives now and certainly future generations. This website also states that the climate has been increasing rapidly for 150 years.
    The website, http://www.ucsusa.org/global_warming#.V-0uFvkwgdU , states that the global warming is already having a very large effect on our communities and health. “ Sea level rise is accelerating. The number of large wildfires is growing. Dangerous heat waves are becoming more common. Extreme storm events are increasing in many areas. More severe droughts are occurring in others.” Luckily we ha ve solutions to help reduce carbon emissions, which will slow the pace of global warming. This will pass on a healthier world to future generations.

Climate change is a very important issue in our world today. Our world is actually getting warmer and warmer. The warmest years in our history have been since the year 2000. This is because of all the greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere. Did you know that humans produce about 35 billion tons of CO2 per year? This issue is getting worse and worse and we need to know how to deal with it.
Scientists have done extensive research to find the cause of climate change. There is plenty of evidence to show that humans are responsible for most of this change. CO2 emissions are produced when we burn gasoline, natural gas, and coal, for driving cars, trains, airplanes, and electricity. Other things also play a part in this climate change as well. For example, the Sun produces more energy into the atmosphere and natural phenomenons. This climate change is already affecting us and our planet today. Climate change is causing our oceans to rise. Our oceans have risen about 4-8 inches in the last 100 years. This is because warm water expands and our planet is getting warmer which is maki ng the water warmer and causing it to rise. Warm water also has less Oxygen. This is causing harmful effects to fish, sharks, dolphins, whales, coral reefs, and other sea plants and animals. Climate change is also affecting land animals. It is causing them to have to relocate to be able to survive. This is because climate change is causing weather changes. Some places are getting more precipitation while others are becoming dryer. There is also more extreme weather and hotter days more frequently.
    The issue of global warming is causing so many problems as you can now see. We must try to help this cause. We need to try and reduce the amount of greenhouse gasses we put into the atmosphere. The average person can help by reducing the amount of CO2 they use for transportation, heating and cooling, and electricity. Every little thing counts and we all need to know what is happening and how to deal with it or this issue will just get worse and worse and will not be good for the health of our planet. I agree Brandon that global warming is real. Global warming is a very big issue in today’s world. Global warming is used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere. A lot of people think that global warming is real or fake. I personally think that global warming is real, and there’s a lot of reasons why. And there’s also debate if global warming is warming quickly or slowly. The increased of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses released by burning of fossil fuels are believed to be the primary source of global warming. Global warming may include rising of sea levels due to the melting of polar ice caps. If global warming keeps getting warmer, islands will soon be under water. Global warming is a big problem, but also easy to prevent it.
The first main thing that we can do to prevent global warming is, stop polluting the air by factories. I know America relies a lot on factories, they provide energy, jobs, and etc. But do those things worth that much to you that we are killing our world. Not only does factories hurt the world , they could hurt humans and animals. If a community lives next to a factory, there’s a good chance that they can release chemicals that can endanger humans and animals. Another thing we can do to prevent our world to get warmer is use less air condition and heat. When it’s really hot  we can just use fans, other than using air condition. And when it’s cold, you can just snuggle up in a blanket or sit in front of the fire.
I know it sucks to do these things, but it’ll really help our world. We can prevent Islands going under water. We can prevent animals and humans from die. We can prevent factories who keep on hurting our world. We as a whole can do this without a problem if we all do it together.

Global Warming is an impending issue on our planet, and every day the threat heightens. According to an article written by the Union of Concerned Scientists, “Every one of the past 38 years has been warmer than the 20th century average. The 12 warmest years on record have all occurred since 1998. The hottest year ever recorded for the contiguous United States occurred in 2012.” These high temperatures are being caused by greenhouse gasses being released into the air by humans and their emissions. Every day humans are overloading the atmosphere with carbon dioxide which is the main cause of this world wide issue. A plethora of evidence shows us that humans are the cause of climate change, more than any other source. We as a whole are especially responsible particularly for the warming of the ocean in the last 150 years, and the changes that are soon impending. As said before, the carbon dioxide released into the air when humans burn gasoline, coal, and natural gasses is a major, if not the number one factor responsible for the warming of our planet. The higher temperatures are causing changes in weather, such as major flooding and droughts (such as the one currently happening in California), tropical storms, wildfires, and more. It is also affecting people on an everyday level by lengthening and intensifying allergy seasons. The four seasons are even being slightly shifted and changed because of this mass change.
    To add to the ISCFC post “Is Climate Change Real and Human Caused?; Global Warming is Real,” I would like to say that I agree with the educated assumption that climate change on this scale is human orientated. It is now becoming critical that people all over the world work together to stop this downward spiral. Humans have not been as conscientious as necessary in the last century. While people were building factories, making cars, and flying on planes, not enough of them were thinking about what they were doing. What their impact would do to the earth. What their impact is doing to the earth. Not paying attention to and ignoring this ever impending issue with cause an immense snowball effect. For instance, if the earth heats up, the polar ice caps will melt (more than they already are), which will cause the oceans to rise, which could cause severe flooding and storms, which could cause problems all over. Even that is only one of the branches you could go off on, there are dozens of others. Humans need to work together and take this issue seriously before it is too late.
