The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Why Climate Change is our Fault
When we studied the movement of elements in the atmosphere we learned about the cycle of carbon movement. There are big resevoirs of each resource in the world and the main places carbon is stored is in fossil fuels, In trees and Plants, and the Ocean. The CO2 is released by different processes. one is combustion or Ignition, which is what our vehicles and energy use and it releases a lot of CO2, and the only way we can limit this use of carbon is by using other forms of energy and other forms of transportation.
In my class we also studied the carbon cycle and how humans are largely the reason for climate change. The atmosphere as a reservior has been increasingly growing due to human actions. The extra carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is unable to be absorbed by the ocean or escape through different fluxes. As humans it is up to us to limit the amount of carbon being released. I think one of the biggest things we could do would be to use more solar, water, and wind energy either as individuals or as communities. This would decrease the amount of fossil fuels being burned. On a smaller account people could start turning off lights, drying cloths outside, taking shorter showers, and unplugging things when being unused which will decrease the amount of electricity used.
I agree, I think that it is important that we need to lower our amount of greenhouse gases. I also agree that humans actions have a large impact and I also think it is a great idea to limit the amount of carbon being released. My idea is carpooling or using public transportation. This is a good idea because cars are releasing carbon dioxide which is trapping heat.
