Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

Climate change has never been so radical, as it is in present day. In these past 30 years, climate change and greenhouse gas emissions has gone up three times as fast. The starting point for this is caused by humans. Humans use the greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide (CO2) very often. The burning of fossil fuels and changes in land use, let out great amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. Global warming is due to the fact we burn coal, oil, and gas for our everyday use. Also, human use deforestation for wood, pulp, farmland, and land space. Deforestation causes the Carbon Dioxide that were in the trees to releases large amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. With all of this continuous burning of fossil fuel in order to sustain human life, it will result in climate change which humans are responsible for. So yes, I firmly believe climate change is real and very much human caused.

I agree, climate change is real and its becoming more and more of a major issue today. Humans are the main cause for climate change and everyday more and more greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere. Humans release tons carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each day. The burning of fossil fuels, cars, factories and deforstation are main ways how humans release CO2 into the atmosphere. Yes, climate change is real and humans are the main cause of that.

I also agree with all that has been said. Humans are the main cause of climate change, however we do have to remember that there are other things that cause it. However once again we are the main cause of it because of our green house gas releases. When it comes to factories, and car gas there is no doubt in my mind that we need to make a change.

yes climate change is real and it is mostly man made because of all the factories and other stuff that polutes the air.

Yes climate change is real we see it everyday with the weather and the droughts all over the world. If humans keep doing what we are doing soon most of the animal population will be gone

As a person in California and that this is the first year that we haven’t been in a severe drought for around seven years now. In a study done by 1,300 science experts from around the world say that 95% of human productivity has warmed our planet for the last 50 years. If we all continue at this rate, we will be telling our grandchildren about all the beautiful things that use to be. Climate change is not something that could happen it is going on. This will not change unless our generation can come together and change it.
