Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint

12618502

My name is Sam. I'm from Mooresville, NC, USA. I am 14 years old. The total for my Carbon Footprint was 63,114. My carbon footprint was above average and it mostly came from home. I didn't know that I would be above average. I actually thought that I was going to be a little below average but, after seeing my carbon footprint, I never knew that I am above average. They ways that I think that I can bring it down is to turn off the things that I don't use and try to turn off the AC and heater.

Your total carbon footprint is 7 times higher than mine. I have the same issues sometimes I would leave a room with the lights and fan on.
