Climate change is real, many certified websites such as NASA and many highly appraised Newspapers such as The New York Post and The Atlantic write stories about climate change and how it affects us. Even though some politicians and celebrities do not believe in climate change, the general populace believes and there is definitely enough evidence to support the argument that climate change is real and caused by us humans. I agree. Climate change is a real thing and it is human caused. With all of the things that we are doing with the environment like pollution, and oil spills the climate is changing. Pollution is changing the amount of certain gases in our atmosphere and if we don’t try to stop or slow down the pollution rate, the air that we breathe right now could potentially be harmful for us to breath in the future. With wildfires and the greenhouse gases that we have been using, carbon emissions are getting higher and is changing our climate due to the amount of carbon that we have been emitting. In large quantities carbon dioxide can be harmful so if we do not slow down or lower the carbon emissions then our atmosphere could become toxic for us to breath because our bodies are not made for that amount of gas.     According to NASA the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are never been above 300 parts per million until now where the amount is at 400 parts per million. I agree with this post that global warming is caused by humans and it is definitely real. The media outlets he provided definitely support climate change being real and are obviously much more reliable than the celebrities he was talking about. While I think it is likely that the newspapers are correct, I think you should make sure that they got their info for these climate change articles from a reliable source. I strongly agree with the CO2 increase in the atmosphere. One reason I know this is true is all the carbon dioxide we burn and release into the atmosphere. This gas traps heat on earth, heating up the planet, leading to climate change. Another piece of evidence I have also found on ucsusa.org to support the fact that global warming is caused by humans is the boundary between the troposphere and the stratosphere has moved up. This is due to heating in the troposphere (the layer rises from the hot air). The suns heat heats both layers evenly so the extra heat in the troposphere has to be from the carbon dioxide us humans release, proving our carbon has an impact o f heating the earth.

I agree.  It is present in our society although some people chose to ignore it.  Our greed for money and other things makes us forget about the environment and the things we put out into the environment.  We don't balance what we put in and take out.

I strongly believe that climate change is real and largely a result of human activities. There is an increasing amount of evidence that links our emissions of CO2 to the increasing global temperature, sea level rise, and melting ice. There are a series of graphs showing the social economic trends (including things like world population, foreign direct investment, and real GDP) related to Earth system trends (including greenhouse gasses, ocean acidification, and surface temperature). In every graph, there is an alarming upward trend starting at 1950 to the present. As human activities and interference in the environment have been increasing at alarming rates, so have Earth system trends. Global warming is very real and is directly influenced by human activity.

To agree with all of these above statements, I too say climate change is real, and more importantly human caused. Unfortunatly, many people disagree with this, and that is part of the reason that change isn't occurring. Many trustworthy sources such as NASA back this up with inevitable proof, but there are still thousands that will always disagree with them, and for that reason it will be hard to save our Earth.

I agree with hayd3n02 that many people will never believe in climate change, but that's no reason not to try. We, as normal people living our everyday lives should do our part to use as little carbon as possible and leave the smallest footprint possible.

I also agree with my piers about the dangers of climate change in our world today. I think that the sources he is quoting are very reliable in providing information about our atmosphere. I believe that the people who refuse to believe that climate change is real don't pay attention or do much research about the environment and most likely contribute more CO2 then most other households that are aware. On the website though do any of the websites offer insight on ways to start to control our climate on a local level first?

We are all on the same page here. I agree with what jayla stated about the people who refuse to accept climate change are also the ones who do little to no research on it.  If there was no tie to money loss, then this would be a very different situation. I would be willing to say that the vast majority of people would not dought the hard working scientists about their findings. I'm still baffled by the idea that people are ignoring scientists and their evidence behind why climate change by humans is real. Is more money really worth the expense of our future world? If we don't do something quick, money will be the least of our worries.
