The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) states that "It is a greater than ninety percent certainty that emissions of heat trapping gases from human activities have caused most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-twentieth century." This statement supports the idea of human caused climate change; our emissions of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide is one of the largest contributors to the increase in global temperatures. Our actions on earth, like burning fossil fuels and creating deforestation, is creating a large build-up of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which traps heat and raises the temperature of earth. With all of this overwhelming evidence today that climate change is related to human activities, we have the opportunity to do something about it, and lower our greenhouse gas emissions. As a planet, we all need to take action in order to preserve the natural resources and important parts of our world.  We, as humans, need to put in the effort for our planet, because without effort, our planet will be headed towards destruction.

Thank you for that information Sophia, because that is just one piece of the overwhelming evidence we have that global warming is real. It is hard to believe that some people in power of the United States right now can so easily disregard the evidence we have, and try to pretend that the way they think the world is is correct. People like this are ignorant, and are setting us back from accomplishing complete awareness. We need people like us to really step up and take a stand. We are the future of this earth, and it is our responsibility to take care of it, so we need to do our parts and try to overpower the wrongly educated.

I completely agree with you. I think that climate change is certainly real, and it is happening fast. Us as a society created it, and now we have to fix it. Emission of greenhouse gasses has been going up tremendously, and we need to face the facts and do something about it. To solve this immense problem, it will not be easy. However we can always start somewhere. I think that everyone should look at their carbon footprint, and see what is using the most carbon. Based on that, each person can figure out how they can reduce the release of CO2, which is causing climate change. I believe that one of the main reasons that climate change is such a big deal, is because most people were not taught correctly about it. So another thing that people can do, is making sure that they are educated, and educating about climate change. Its time that people face the facts and do something about it. And if teachers start teaching how to reduce climate change in schools, then I think there could be a jurrastic difference then how it is now.
