But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

My opinion.
I am covinced by the scientists because the industy products many gases like CO2;SO2;NO2 and others...These gases are combinated with water in clouds resulting acid rain,which can change the terrestrial surface and after climate change!
The main solution would be for the industry to produce fewer toxic gases!
So, please say to the industry" That's enough! You must stop!"
just a clarification that acid rain is not directly connected to climate change. acid rain is a different issue that results mostly from sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Carbon dioxide causes global warming and ocean acidification by totally different mechanisms. The connection is that both problems are mainly caused by burning fossil fuels.
Yes, I completely agree. The amounts of carbon dioxide and methane that we are producing daily are largely contributing to what we know as the “greenhouse effect.” In other words, rather than leaving the atmosphere, these gases are reflected and radiated back towards the earth’s surface. In addition to warming the earth further, this heat causes us to experience dramatic weather events such as floods, storms, droughts, and fires more frequently.
Another visual example of the effects of climate change can be shown on The Carbon Map (http://www.carbonmap.org/). This program allows one to visualize how the each country’s actions (extraction, emissions, consumption, historical, reserves) affect their vulnerability (poverty, sea levels, people at risk). All of these things are reflected by the country’s projected size. This map only further evidences that industrial countries with larger populations are affected most heavily by climate change.
Even after all this evidence, reason, and analysis is put towards the idea that climate change is real and human-caus ed, some politicians still argue that it is a myth. Counter arguments such as these are purely for their financial benefit and cannot be backed up with evidence of any kind. So my advice for the general population is to continue trying to reduce your carbon footprint and to educate others on the effects of climate change. Because though we may be the problem, we can also be part of the solution.
