The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Climate Change and Humans
There should be no dispute that climate change is real. Michael Le Page wrote an article about how the Earth is "halfway to UN global warming limit". There is plenty of research to support this. The real argument should be whether or not climate change is human caused. I believe that it is. Global temperatures have been rising so rapidly in the past century that the most reasonable explanation is that it has been caused by humans. When I received my results for my carbon footprint, I was shocked. My emissions were nearly double the average person in my area. This has led me to believe that humans do have a large impact on the environment. To reduce our effect on the earth, it is important to be conscious about all our actions.

I agree, humans are currently responsible for the large output of emissions threatening our planet. The earth experiences times of change in climate, but this is without a doubt not the cause of mother nature. We see very current examples with the number or hurricanes destroying areas, the warmer temperature creates warmer waters, these help to fuel much stronger hurricanes as we are now starting to see devastate our country. Anyone who says that this is not human caused is simply misinformed, or saying it to support other parties like the coal industry. We have to do as much as we can to fight back against these people who try and deny the truth, and make the world understand what we are doing and how to fix it before it is too late.
