Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Janaras Carbon Footprint
Hey, my name is Janara. I'm currently writing from Mooresville, North Carolina, USA. I'm also 14. My carbon footprint 20,995 KGS. In my personal opinion my results aren't good at all, because not only is it above my class average, but it is also above my region and worldwide. When I first saw my total I thought it wasn't bad until I started comparing it to other averages. What surprised me about carbon footprints is that I didn't know that the things you purchase cab affect your total. I learned that if I eat healthier my total can decrease. Another way it can decrease is if we don't use so many lights in the house, and if when we are washing dishes it brushing our teeth to not run the water the whole time.
