Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Climate Change is Real, and is Partially Caused by Humans

Many people view climate change as a problem that doesn’t really affect them, and as an issue that isn’t truly relevant to their daily lives. Unfortunately, these people are wrong. Climate change is an ongoing and critical issue that all people need to be aware of. I fully believe that climate change is real, and I think that everyone should know more about this problem so that we can work together to stop this from getting any worse. I believe this because of how things like weather are being affected. For example, because of climate change, stronger storms are more likely to form. I also think that climate change is such a big problem because of humans. Even though it is 2017 and we know that certain things negatively impact the environment, we continue to carry out these processes. Many contributing factors to climate change include deforestation, the burning of fossil fuels, soil degradation, livestock and agricultural practices, landfills, etc. One trait all these things have in common is that these are all carried out by humans. I believe that the world needs to co nsider how these actions have extremely negative implications for our planet. Each day more greenhouse gases are being emitted into the atmosphere, so it is necessary that every single person tries to do what is right for the environment.
