The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Disrupting the Carbon Cycle
Humans have disrupted the carbon cycle by burning more fossil fuels, releasing huge amounts of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. We've also made our livestock industry massive causing the mass production of methane. Cutting down trees hasn't helped the problem as trees and plants absorb a lot of our carbon dioxide. We caused the greenhouse gas emissions to increase way faster that reduction has become too slow to make a difference. This had led to many side effects such as ocean acidification, or extinction. Disrupting the carbon cycle has caused climate change, which will affect our food, health and leisure. We must try and find ways to reduce our production of greenhouse gases and hope that our climate will slowly come back to its former self.
Well, we can start by cutting down on how much meat we consume . By reducing the amount of meat we could be using less carbon. Then, we buy things second hand from a thrift store or online because, when a shirt is made, the synthetic materials are not biodegradable. Afterward, we can cut down on the amount of oil and gas we use on a day to day average. So, carpooling, public transport, or even walking or bike riding can contribute to a smaller footprint and improve the health of us the animals and the environment. However, the unfortunate part is we can’t reclaim what we’ve lost but we can reduce the effects . There are a few ideas to help get started . Cheers from Miami
