My carbon footprint total is 14,176. My total is about average compared to the rest of North Carolina. The majority of my carbon footprint is transportation. I am not surprised by my total. I thought it would be about the same or maybe less for where I live and I though it would be more than other places outside of the US. I was surprised that my transportation numbers were so high, but we did take a vacation to the opposite side of the US last summer so normally my number wouldn't be that high. I was a little surprised that my food number was a little higher than average because my family eats a lot of organic and local food. We eat a lot of meat though, so I think that's why my number was high. In the future, I think I can decrease my carbon footprint by using transportation less and by eating less meat.
