Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Money makes the world go round

Yes, climate changes are real and human-caused, all the evidence over the last years confirm that. And if people don't believe that then they still haft to admit that the weather has been changing drastically over the years, a lot more of animal species are in danger and that the poles are melting. It's just that climate changes aren't good for business when your empire is founded on oil, coal or on any other of those big companies who dig up carbon-based fuel for energy. And them having the money and power it can be hard to get through to the people, I think that why some people still don't believe in it.

You have a good point. Companies don't want people believing there's problems like climate change or else they'll go out of business. I didn't think about that before. Also I like your title

I agree that businesses don't care about climate change because they make a hefty profit off of fossil fuels. Some people don't believe climate change is real even though there are many studies that have lots of evidence proving climate change. NASA has climate.nasa.gov a whole site dedicated to climate change with plenty of evidence proving climate change is real and how to help solve the problems that cause it. The many businesses and powerful people don't acknowledge climate change because the production of goods from factories and the mining of fossil fuels benefits them by giving them money and power. I think that the governments across the world need to acknowledge this is real before it is too late and start changing things instead of doing what they want for their personal benefit.

What you said is true. These big corporations don't care about the environment. They will never care about the environment as long as there is money involved, which is a tragedy. We aren't putting the Human race in danger but every living thing on Earth, it is our responsibility to make a difference and change.
