The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused? >
Climate Change is Caused by Both Humans and Nature
There is no doubt about it that climate change is happening, there is too much evidence that points to it. We as humans are the smartest race on the planet, this means that we have the potential to cause greatness or destroy everything that we have created. So far, we are starting to destroy the Earth by burning fossil fuels at an alarming rate that is growing every day; but we can still fix this. By taking precautions and by reducing our carbon footprint, we can stop the amount of CO2 that is being produced into the atmosphere and maybe put a stop to it. It is not to late to come back from what we have done to our Earth, we just have to use our greatness to think of ways to globally help the issue, and save our Earth.
I agree with you but I dont think that people who are owning big industries that create alot of co2 will be willing to save the earth. They only think about the money they are puting in their pockets. People should unite and demand from govermants to make laws to help protecting the Earth. Peace mate.
This is true, humans directly affect climate change. We burn too much fuel to not affect the atmosphere.
valentinosaronja that is right but there is also the problem that people from third world countries would not have enough money to buy things because companies would have to find money for filters, solar panels, or wind power plants in the products that they sell
For big industries to slow down the rate of how much CO2 they are releasing into the atmosphere would require for gigantic, expensive shifts in the makeup of many companies. It is cheaper for the big industries to continue to burn large amounts of fossil fuels instead of going through a transition of putting in solar panels, filters, etc. However, as a long-term investment, it is cheaper to switch to some alternative forms of energy and better for our earth. I agree that both humans and nature cause climate change because decomposing and animal respiration both also release CO2 into the atmosphere, but the burning of fossil fuels outweighs the amount of CO2 released by nature.
