The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused? >
The Reality of the Situation
Climate Change is ever present within todays environment, and had been present for a long time now. Humans, though some may not believe, are the main cause of this phenomenon going on in our very own ecosystem. The fact is, humans, all humans, contribute CO2 into the atmosphere. Through respiration, combustion, and the burning of multiple fossil fuels, the amount of CO2 released increases day by day, and is starting to become exponential. This increases temperature all around the Earth that we live on. Though humans are willing to try to find solutions to Climate change, or rather slow it down, the ever growing increase in todays carbon dioxide amounts is very real and very large at that.
I agree, climate change is real and a very big threat. We produce CO2 whether we like it or not. The trick is to find out how we can reduce those emissions so that we actually have a chance slowing down climate change. We all must make a change, because it is all our Earth. We co-inhabit this planet and we must take care of it.
I agree as well Niles. While big industries deny the fact that CO2 is being emitted, especially from factories, it's still happening. The CO2 levels released daily is a huge threat to our world, and it's scientifically proven as well, no matter how much it's denied
I agree. Climate change is a huge threat and we need to stop it
