The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Climate Change effects
Climate change is definitely real and we can see the effects in all aspects of our environment. One example is our rising sea levels. According to https://www.climate.gov/news-features/u … -sea-level our overall sea levels have risen from the previous year for the past 24 years. This doesn't just mean that the levels are higher, but also it affects the ocean life. Due to warming, polar bears are also losing their icebergs, which affects the whole food chain, not just one species. Additionally, climate change isn't just global warming, it can be cooling or just extreme weather in general. For example, not only is the snow pack in the sierra changing drastically each year, there have also been more tornadoes and earthquakes. Its also clear that this is indefinably caused by humans. With he rise of all sorts of technology , from cars to phones to factories individual carbon footprints are rising. We can help stop the clock of climate change by continuing to educate kids on the topic. Climate change has also become more of a political i ssue, which means kids in certain areas that swing to one side of the political parties may get more or less education on the subject. For example, I live in a more liberal area and the topic has been discussed in most of my schooling but I know people who live in other areas who know nothing about it. We should all strive to teach it no matter our political views because it is an issue fro all humans.
