The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused? >
climate change real or fake?
Climate change is human caused because of all the fossil fuels that humans burn. they burn carbon all the time. we burn trees and such. so that causes climate change. humans definitely have an impact on climate change.
I totally agree with you that humans contribute to the cause of climate change. Trees that are cut down means that there are less trees taking in the carbon from the atmosphere. This adds on to humans being a cause to climate change.
I think humans definitely contribute to climate change by cars and not recycling etc. But factories are also what mostly contribute to climate change. Every second processed foods, or clothes and much more are being made. People always try to show people what they can do to reduce climate change when the bigger issues are factories who pollute the airs with their gases. We should start making more factories accountable for their actions.
I agree with you that humans cause global warming. The primary cause of global warming is humans putting more and more Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere. We do this by burning fossil fuels, whether we drive in our cars or heat our houses. Lowering our carbon footprint would be a significant first step to reducing Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere. According to the source, https://www.ucsusa.org/global-warming/s … -faq.html, "Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main heat-trapping gas largely responsible for most of the average warming over the past several decades. The atmospheric concentration of CO2 has increased dramatically, from a pre-industrial era (AD 1000 – 1750) concentration of approximately 280 parts per million (ppm) to today's 400 ppm." Scientists think that 400 ppm is the critical amount above which global warming will take off unless we make an effort to conserve.
I also believe that climate change is purely manmade. Humans are the ones who began the industrial revolution which would be pivotal in the declining state of our planet. Humans are obsessed with convenience which ultimately just makes us lazier. Products that are created for our convenience such as cars take stabs at our Earth. I wish there was a quick and easy way to reverse the human effect on the Earth but things will take time. It will take time to get humans off of gas-powered vehicles to electric or solar vehicles. Our actions have huge impacts on the earth and I don't think enough people have realized or chosen to believe that.
