The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused? >
Climate Change is definitely real!
Through the action of burning fossil fuels, we release excess carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which upsets the balance of the Carbon Cycle. Deforestation is another action we, as humans, have done that causes climate change, as it not only releases excess carbon dioxide but also destroys the trees and plants that take in carbon dioxide to create glucose. As the extra CO2 gets released into the atmosphere, the earth traps more heat (since carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas). One of the results is ice caps and glaciers melting, which can cause flooding around coastal regions!
I agree, with all of this! If people don't start acting now, there will be global floods and places will be destroyed. It is predicted that by 2100, 1.9 million homes will be underwater due to melting ice caps and glaciers, caused by CO2 released by us!

I totally agree with this! it's a very important thing to recognize what the effects of our actions really are. And what will happen in the future if we don't strive to make real change to the way we view our environment as expendable. As it has a serious effect on not only our current generations, but the future ones as well.
yesss its real because in the north pole the ice is meting and the polar bears are dying because there is no ice and the ocean is getting warm and the fish could die and the animals ![]()
Yes climate change is real and becoming obvious. I agree with this it is very important that we stop deforestation and start recycling, saving electricity, eating less meat, using less carbon dioxide omitting transportations. Not doing all of this, causes crazy amounts of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere which again creates climate change.
