Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Hypothetically if almost all energy sources were replaced with solar, wind, and hydro power instead of coal or whatnot, would we see a radical change in temp and co2 levels immediately?

There might not be an immediate change, but there could definitely be a dramatic change. If you were saying that if everyone on Earth were to immediately replace their energy resources to what you listed above, then the environment would need time to adjust to the new change in the air.

I think the change would not be immediate, but it would be more noticeable and healthier for the environment, letting it eventually become the ideal environment
