As many of you know global warming is environmental problem and it needs to be addressed with more concern. If you dont know what it is, it is when the earth is warmer than it is supposed to be and therefore melts the glaciers. When the glaciers are melted the ocean level rises and creates harmful situations. An example of the danger of global warming would be Venice.

Venice is sinking and getting flooded frequently.  Global warming is contributing to this problem.  In a few years Venice could be no more and at the bottom of the ocean.  This could happen to other islands who are also at or barely above sea level unless global warming is solved. One way would be to cut down CO2 which makes the weather warmer.

A thing to add to this global warming piece. In class we read a paper on global warming and how its affecting our oceans. when wild fires happen they give of ash and smoke, which turns to soot. the soot then travels up north which lands on the glaciers, causing them to melt.
   We have burned and cut down so many trees causing there to be an abnormal amount of CO2 in the air, which mixes with the oxygen in the ocean causing it to acidify. When it acidifies, it bleaches the coral reefs, leaving them not able to sustain life or able to reproduce.
   The fire season is becoming longer with large scale fires, because of global warming. the flood in Phoenix Arizona didn't help prevent the fires it just gave them more ammunition. the green plants aren't barriers to the fires. the dead trees and leaves pile up and then when they do catch fire they burn longer and bigger.

I agree with you that Global Warming is becoming a huge environmental problem. The increase of CO2 made the world a whole lot worse. We do what benefits us but harming the world, and not only we have to pay for it other species with suffer with us for what we did wrong. Polar bears lost their homes due to the environment that has been changing. The melting of glaciers not only caused the ocean level to rise and our land being covered, it has also affected  animals who live in the cold. Global Warming is something that has been around for quite a while, it is not getting better which means people still aren't taking it seriously. The world is our home, we should protect it instead of destroying it. One way we can help this situation get better is that we can change the little bad habits we have that will cause CO2 to rise. For example, turning of the lights when it's not needed, take short showers, avoid driving vehicles when it's a walking distance.
