I found a website (http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/impacts-adaptation/) that explains the impacts of CO2 emission in the different regions of the US with an interactive map.  In many regions, it would cause draughts, heat waves, sea level rising, hurricanes, longer dry periods, loss of beaches, threats to habitats, and even changes to the economy.  I don't think that we would actually cause human extinction anytime soon, but I think there may be drastic changes to the world we know today if this continues for the next hundred years.  However, many people are realizing that problems can and will arise.  Because of this, we are starting to take action, even though it's slow.  If a few more people try to take action, we can most definitely slow down and maybe stop global warming.

Look through your idea, I think you made a very good point. People around the world are starting to realize the importance of taking care of the environment.
