A commonly debated issue throughout the world is on the topic of climate change. Climate change is an increasingly worsening issue that will have many consequences if we don't take steps to improve it. Countries around the world are becoming more and more prone to danger by things such as rising sea level and floods, America, being one of the world's largest CO2 extruders, is now ranked 34th on the counties at risk for flood exposure. That could mean over three million people at risk. The countries of Asia are more in danger than any other.  In an article written by Gregor Aisch, David Leonhardt, and kevin Quealy, it states that due to climate change,  “About 2.6 percent of the world’s population — about 177 million people — live in areas that will be vulnerable to chronic flooding within the next 100 years.” To read more on this topic, go to http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/24/upsho … abg=1&_r=1
Unfortu nately, we can not deplete the already soaring sea level, but we can prepare for it. There are many possible threats that may occur in case of a flooding. For example, car accidents are a very likely danger due to the fact that it only takes 18 inches of water to lift up an average car, and afterward it is only a matter of time before crashing and turning occurs. Water contamination is another issue, so water purification would be a recommended task. Water inhabitation could lead to mold growth, some of which has the potential of being toxic, therefore checking up on one's home after a flood is encouraged.
