I think climate change is very important in today's society considering we are in drought, and we have been in the drought for three years. For the past three years we have experienced a ton of empty fields,brown lawns, and dry stream beds. But with a lot of those there is a couple of places in California where water runs freely which makes the effects of the drought really hard to see. After a unprecedented amount of cut backs this year a lot of farmers scramble to find water to keep their crops and animals California also has ordered there junior water right holders to stop pumping water due to the recent drought that California has experienced. Also California has one of the biggest and most complicated water rights systems in the United States. Also Governor brown said “ that if this critical condition continues, the entire water rights system will be up for examination.
