Climate change is bad because we are raising the temperature of the Earth, this causes the Artic Cap/glaciers to melt. Consequently, the oceans rise and there is more flooding, hurricanes, and natural disasters.
We can prevent this by lowering carbon emissions in the industrialized countries.
