Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

transportation
it seems like the transportation category in my class was the biggest, anybody else have similar results?
I had similar results too, I travelled a lot by plane in the last year, thus my carbon footprint expanding by a lot. I've been thinking about it and have come to the question of if traveling long distances (across the U.S., to mexico or canada) wether it is better to travel by plane or by car or by train. Any ideas? Or comments?
Yes I had similar results. It was pretty consistent in my class that transportation was the largest. Do you have any ideas on how to reduce this category?
I think that traveling by train would be the best idea. Because it is a form of public transportation so it is better then driving. Also trains emit less carbon then plains.

I had results similar to these also, i think when traveling by plane it would be environmentally friendly to go to a place then travel from there. Make it one large trip to reduce the amount of miles flown.
I had a low result because I usually carpool a lot and don't take any airplanes but compared to people who had traveled using airplanes, they had a much higher result in transportation.
You could try riding a bike or even walking to reduce this.
You can try by riding a bus, train, walking, and many more things to help with the transportation.
