According to NASA, there is a two pronged solution to reducing climate change around the world today and it includes both mitigation and adaptation. Mitigation includes decreasing the flow of green house gasses in the atmosphere. The way to do this is by stopping the sources of these gases ,which can be caused by burning fossil fuels (to create electricity or heat), and by magnifying the things that store them, such as oceans, soil, forests, etc. The goal of mitigation is to overall reduce human interference with the "climate system" as a whole.  Adaptation involves adapting to the changes in climate and adjusting to live in it. We must make changes to live more efficiently in this changing climate in the most beneficial way we can. The combination of these two things provides the best solution to climate change.
