Impacts of Global Warming

justintan999

Our Earth is getting hotter and hotter every day due to our greenhouse gas emissions. Due to us releasing more CO2 and other greenhouse gases into our atmosphere, the Earth is heating up. It is causing ice to melt around the poles and the sea level is rising up. Slowly, the sea level will rise to an extent where it will start to flood continents. By lowering our CO2 emissions, we can slow down the process of global warming and the climate change happening to our Earth. If we increase our CO2 emissions, we harm the ozone layer that protects us and helps all life survive.

This is true, and although there are many ways to achieve this goal is to make garbage trucks and taxis electric cars. This way the people don't have to change their lifestyle like taking shorter showers, and at the same it will cut back CO2 emissions immensely.

According to ncse.com, global warming has been going on for over 150 years, and it is constantly accelerating today. Most of our everyday choices contribute to the increase of carbon dioxide emissions. One way to help lower your everyday CO2, is to drive less. You might wonder how to get to school. If you live close enough, walking or biking are good options that also keeps you physically healthy. Other options include taking the bus and carpooling, which means you can also start the day chatting with your friends.
Another way to help slow global warming by transportation is, if you're going on a road trip or just going out with friends, you want to have your car on as little as possible, staying out of traffic not only puts you in a good mood, but also means you have the gas on less and there will be less pollution.

If global warming continues to accelerate at the rate it is currently at, we will see many significant changes to our earth. We will see an increased amount of natural disasters, a higher sea level, and temperatures higher than ever. There will also be increased issues in our health due to air quality from our increased amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere. Many of our species will have become extinct from issues including deforestation and ocean acidification. This could result in a collapse of the food chain and limited resources for humans to consume.
We can limit our carbon footprint by simple everyday changes including: turning the lights off when you leave a room, biking/walking instead of driving, turning the water off when you are not using it, and eating locally as much as possible.

I agree that Global Warming impacts everyone and we all have to come together to put a stop to global warming continuing. CO2 emissions is a large reason why global warming is raising so rapid to stop it we all can make small changes like think of better ways for transportation. People can start to use public transportation, bike, run, or switch over to eco friendly cars. We can also try to not fly as much since that was a main reason why people carbon footprint was so high and above average. We need to also be mindful of not over using energy especially at home. All these little changes can help save our future for Earth.

I agree with you. Global Warming is a very big issue that impacts all living things on Earth. A good way to decrease your carbon footprint is carpooling. Carpooling decreases the amount of carbon dioxide that is released into the air. Carbon dioxide is a primary greenhouse gas that is constantly contributing to Global Warming. I have been carpooling since elementary school and I see a major difference in my carbon footprint.
