Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint
Hello, I'm from Switzerland and my carbon footprint isn't high but I can easily do some things that will get it lower. My mother is going to buy an electric bike and I think I will try to use it sometimes to travel for short distances.. I take always the public transports to go to school and to go to training because they go anyway, even if you are in it or not.
Another thing that I will try to do is to reduce my consumation of water for example having a short shower (5 minutes are enough I think)
Hey, i think that buy an electric bike is an useful initiative and you can reduce your consumation o water also for example close the water while your're soaping.
I think that is a great idea with buying a bike instead of traveling by a personal car. It will definitely help reduce your overall carbon output. Short showers will also help in keeping the environment greener.
The electric bike idea is a pretty good one, it's something that a lot of people living in city environments could do to reduce their footprint. I've actually seen rental places in modern cities that actually let people rent those type bikes so they don't have to use public transportation. Reducing shower time could also really reduce your carbon output.
I think using a electric bike with help a lot. I also need to take shorter showers!
I like your ideas because those are things that can reduce it. I think most people need to reduce their uses of water because we use more water then we recognize. So i completely understand about you saying that. Another thing is your electric bike I believe that if you don't go far distances and don't use it on a daily you will be fine. I use public transportation as well so that is always a good thing.
