Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

By purchasing clothes second hand you can do your part on reducing the amount of clothing go to waste. Reducing your purchases can save you money and save the earth.

I completely agree with you. I think everyone should stop buying things that they don't really need and start buying things that they actually need. Everyone should think before they buy "Do I really need this? For what am I going to use this?" After asking that question, people can buy the things that they really need and preferably buy them used. The result of that kind of live habit will be much better for the earth.
