How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

do we really need phones or are they just something that we want. like why do we need to buy new phones every time they come out like can we not just use the phone we got on til it dies or breaks and if it does break we can still use it because we can get it fixed.
