Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint of Me, Myself, and I. Period.
"PeterLeeV, age 14, from Austin TX of the USA, had the following carbon footprint",
Transportation: 35,331
Home: 5,254
Food: 3,024
Purchases: 288
Total: 43,854
Verdict: He is innocent enough to live. Case closed."
"Any last words before we let ya go, sir?"
"I am mainly responsible for my Carbon Footprint because of my transportation levels. I am driven to school almost every morning and take the bus back and take a vacation to somewhere. Because of me, I might cause the Earths climate average to increase more."
"That it?"
"No, I also feel like this is what my footprint was going to be like and it will only get bigger in the future, but I can reduce it by setting my thermostat to a lower temperature. I also--"
"I'm gonna stop ya right there before you say something that will get yourself arrested again"
I think that you had a good carbon footprint level but you need to find ways to reduce it. You should consider carpooling to school to reduce your carbon footprint. Also, you should think about buying a car with better gas mileage. If you do these things your carbon footprint will be lower.
Alex, I like your reply and it is really positive and helpful, but my siblings are in another district, so we can not really carpool, but I think we can try getting a car with better gas mileage. Thank you for the ideas.
We both had our transportation one be the highest, which i always am out somewhere! An my little sisters live like 1 hour away from me so therefore that is another reason mine was high, especially because i drive there every Friday, for the weekend and then go back home Sunday!
I don't think I have seen someone with such a big carbon footprint total like yours or maybe I just wasn't paying attention
. You must've travelled a lot this year if your total is 35,331. I don't blame you, you could have lots of activities going on, or went on many vacations. Also I feel as if as long as you know how to reduce your carbon footprint it should be okay.
My transportation was very high as well! We must travel a lot my friend! Maybe we should both keep an eye out for some earth friendly cars and lower our traveling rates!
