Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Cody's carbon foot print

lookin21

Age 14
from: Buxton, Maine
My carbon foot print was around 16,000
the majority of my carbon footprint was from transportation. Because I travel up to Maine about 4-7 times a year and my family drives out to places a lot.
Other than that we are very smart with keeping our carbon footprint low by shutting off the electricity when we do not use it.
MY carbon footprint is above average worldwide
but..
below average in the USA.

Well it is always good for your results to be below average in the USA, at least in this predicament. My total was in the 17,000.. so I understand what your saying. In comparison to mine,, My highest portion was home, and I believe so because of all the lights that we use, and also the water.
