Small things that would make a big difference
How much energy do you think we would save if we kept the insides of our houses, offices, schools, etc. closer to the temperature of the outside world. I live in Florida, where is regularly 90+ in Fahrenheit, so I am by no means advocating that we should abstain from AC. Rather I believe that if we were to make the concise of the energy that our schools use alone keeping everything 72 degrees in side. So a jump to lets say 75, isn't to extreme, people that stay inside wouldn't have to wear a jacket for their desk job during summer when they stay inside. It wouldn't be to much to ask out of people or a business, hopefully just enough to make a change.
My gov. recommends a change of 7-10 degrees for 8 hrs to save 10% on the bill. For the school, and government buildings, if we turn the AC off when not in use or business hours and bring the temperature 5 degrees closer during the day should help none the less.
