Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon footprint

Here are 20 ways to reduce your carbon footprint according to http://www.globalstewards.org/reduce-ca … tprint.htm. In my case, i should consider driving less or even catching rides with people going to the same places to avoid carbon emissions from vehicles.

I like your idea about driving less or even catching rides with other people; The transportation category was the highest for me. I need to reduce my carbon footprint by taking these actions.

I also had transportation as my highest category. I am already trying to lower this by biking to school every day, but I travel pretty often, which is one of the primary factors in my transportation category. Air travel leaves a big mark in you carbon footprint, but I'm not sure how to lower this at this stage of my life.
