Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint by Jordan91

Name: Jordan
Location: Mooresville,North Carolina, United States
Age: 15
My carbon footprint is high, the total average is 9,519kgs. It is below average. The majority of my footprint came from home appliances. I am surprised by my total, because I was expecting it to be 6,000kgs. I learned that I should use less appliances at home and take shorter showers. I will decrease the rate from my home appliances by taking shorter showers and using hot water less
