Eat Less
A way we can reduce our carbon foot print is we eat less I say if you need 3000 calories a day i say eat 1000-500 less calories that way it reduces your carbon footprint. Another way to reduce your way carbon foot print through eating is eat less red meat it takes 11 times more water just to produce a hamburger and american eat about 8.5 ounces of red meat a day by eating less red meat we could save 5000 gallons of water that may not seem like a lot but if everyone in the world started tomorrow that would be a drastic change to the entire world carbon foot print.
It was a creative and interesting idea of reducing carbon footprint by reducing calories and the consumption of red meat. It sounds feasible and easy to follow for some people. However, there are many cultures that consume red meat on a daily basis. For example, Korea. Korea has a lot of side dishes that use red meat as the main ingredient and to change this culture that has been passed on for more than centuries, it will be more challenging. What are your solution and idea to reduce the carbon footprint for those who want to help the environment but is struggling due to personal reasons (such as culture or their health issues; anorexia.)
Carbon Footprint, an evaluation of the amount of carbon that an individual releases. The higher the carbon footprint the more resources used by the individual, and the more greenhouse gases they provide. In order to produce meat, not only do we kill animals which results in the population to majorly drop causing ecosystem changes. It also takes a lot of land to be able to produce that meat. We cut down an immense amount of trees, and large acres of land to keep those animals to make them healthy before turning them into food. Changes in the ecosystem and deforestation or clearcutting are major reasons for climate change because the cycle of redeeming the toxins in the air is disrupted. Producing meat causes not only a change in the population density of the animals but also climate change which affects all living things on Earth.
I agree with this comment. There are 7 ways to make our carbon footprint become lesser, and I think these all ways are all usefull. This comment mentioned that ' if you need 3000 calories a day I say eat 1000-500 fewer calories that way it reduces your carbon footprint.' Although when my family or Japanese want my county to reduce our carbon footprint, we will just take a some medicine or healthy food. we don't quit eating as much as what US think.
