Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Everything starts with small steps
Hi, my name is Zoe Luo. My awareness of protecting the environment started way back to the very early education my parents gave me. In my memory, they always have various methods to teach me. When we go out shopping in weekends, we collects the clean plastic bags the cashier gives us and ball them up in a bin. Garbage bags available always ever since we built up this habit. My father changes light bulbs into LED 5 years ago. We turned off all the lights when going out so we don't have to frequently change the light bulb because of the lamp life decreased ( turning it on for too much time). We spend our time reading in one room with air conditioner. I always walks to the library near my home for healthy and environmental protection. And enjoy the free air- conditioning it brings me. In my spare time, we go out cycling and traveling among cities using biking. Everything is done for our own conveniency and more importantly, protecting the environment. Use it in a positive way. I'd be happy if it does help to other people!
It's amazing that you're doing so much to help the environment. It's good that you learned from an early age. Your a good prime example on how people should save energy around their homes.
I really like how you are saving the environment with the LED lights and limiting power when you leave. Its cool that you walk to the library instead of driving saving transportation. All around it seems like you do a very good job with your footprint.
you are doing very well yes your taking small steps but maybe taking less trips to the store and turning off the air conditioner while you walk will save just a little bit more. What you should also do is help build what breaks down these carbons like grow plants and even grow some to get produce off of so you don't need to drive to the store. You can just go out pick what you need and eat what you want
