Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My footprint
do not fly
Some of us need to fly to see people tho
To be honest, I was pretty surprised to see my carbon footprint results being that high, considering I rarely travel by car but rather take walks as I can get to pretty much anywhere in the city in 15 minutes or less. Obviously, now I see that things other than using a car (eq. devices in my house or even consuming some types of food) can cause my carbon footprint "score" to increase. Other than that, I think students nowadays should be more educated about what could cause their carbon footprint to increase, as I think most of the people have little idea how many things actually have influence towards their relationship with nature.
There are ways to reduce your travel footprint and to offset the times when you have no realistic option other than flying.
