Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint

Dunja Hrastić

I was suprised by my results. The average for Croatia is 5,736 kgs and my footprint is 6,663 kgs. I was expecting to be closer to the average. The bigest suprise was the result for food wich is 2,473 kgs and average for my area is 2,308 kgs. I was suprised because we don't buy much food from stores. My result for traveling was also pretty high because I travel to school with train but my purchases were low so that's good.
