Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint
I realized that I spend more time recycling and I spend less carbon footprints than the average Taiwan person. I should ride my bike more to school instead of my mom driving me.
My carbon foot-print is around 6,000 kgs of CO2 per year which is lower than the average person in Taiwan( 8,000 kgs of CO2). We can reduce further carbon footprints by the following suggestions:
1. Home: The government should provide roof solar panels and I should turn off my room lights whenever I don't need it. Windows facing the Sun should be coated with solar films in order to generate electricity.
2. Food: I can try to grow fruits and veggies in my backyard and use local products instead of imported ones.
3. Purchase: I should spend less time on using gadgets and share whenever possible with siblings and friends.
4. Transportation: We can use public transportation more than a car. School buses should be encouraged by the government. Carpooling and electric cars must be encouraged.
