Think Big, Fast Fashion
I total agree that everyone needs to donate their clothes to reduce carbon emission. But, people also need to be aware of fast fashion, and to make sure you aren't buying fast fashion clothing stores. Fast fashion is inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by factories in response to the latest trends. Store such as forever 21 or any chain clothing store around the world are fast fashion stores. More than 60 percent of fabric fibers are now synthetics, which are derived from fossil fuels, so if and when our clothing ends up in a landfill it will not decay. Also, about 85 percent of textile waste in the United States goes to landfills or is incinerated. With new trends coming out everyday, clothes are being pumped out of factories, most are going to end up in the landfill. We waste all this clothing that we don't need, so next time you are buying for a chain clothing shop, ask yourself if you really need this piece of clothing.
