Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Climate change is one of the most real things happening in the planet now. If you look at the graph on https://climate.nasa.gov/climate_resour … re-record/ , you will see how rapidly and quickly our world’s temperature has gone up. At this point, there are not many ways to stop or end it, but we can slow it down. According to https://www.nrdc.org/stories/how-you-ca … al-warming , the most common and efficient ways are: use renewable energy, invest in energy efficient appliances, reduce your water waste, actually eat the food you buy and buy less meat, drive a fuel efficient vehicle, etc. Climate change is inevitable and pretty much destined to happen, but we can help slow it down one step at a time.

Climate change is real and is a huge problem that just keeps on growing. Though we can never fully get rid of this problem, there are many things that people can do that can help our climate's temperature get healthier. A survey shown on psychologytoday.com reveals some of the reasons that people turn their back to make a change in our environment. The answeres shown range from "It's not a problem that affects me " and "I don't know enough about it" all the way to things like "I'm just one person, I can't make a change". In order to make a change, one needs to look outside of the box of what is, and start to think of what could be. What people don't realize is that there are many ways one can help the environment that doesn't even require standing up. Search engines such as Ecosia, GiveWater, and Ekoru can be downloaded with a click of a button and cost no money yet help make a change in our environment. But then there lies the statement "I can't do anything, I'm just one person". This statement is completely false as there are many things that one person can do that benefits the environment, such as download environmentally friendly search engines, recycle, and reuse, these are all things one can do from the comfort of their home. In order to change the health of the climate, we have to work together and stop stating reasons why we can't, because, in the end of the day, they are just excuses.
