I think if we travel with carpools and use bikes and walking over driving if we can, it would improve the environment. Everytime we as humans use cars that take gas, we pollute the environment. If we can walk and bike over driving, we keep the environment clean and healthy and improve the atmosphere. Also, if we can, carpooling with others saves gas and pollution because driving with one car is better that driving and polluting the environment with 2 or 3 or even more. According to WheelZine, Carpooling means more people in a single car, means less number of individual cars on the road; and what does that lead to? Less pollution! Less air pollution, less noise pollution, less carbon emission, less greenhouse gas emission." This means carpooling saves the environment. Walking, biking, and carpooling can all save the world and its environment.

Cars and trucks account for a combined 70+% of carbon emissions produced by transportation. Most people driving are just commuting because they don't want to take the bus, mainly because they think it is slow and unsanitary. But, if people would stop driving their cars the roads would be more open for public transportation reducing the carbon footprint of transportation.
