Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Climate
is it to late prevent climate change?
It is not too late to prevent climate change. As humans we have created lots of greenhouse gases and CO2 in the atmosphere. If we did stop producing greenhouse gases, the CO2 in the atmosphere would still linger for years. It takes a while for the Earth to adapt to changes in the atmosphere. It is not to late to reduce our effect though. Two major steps we would have to take is mitigation, and adaptation. Mitigation is reducing our productivity of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Adaptation is adapting to the environment we live in now. We just need to make sure our carbon usage and the amount of gases we are putting in the atmosphere reduce in the coming years.
