What is Technology's Role in the Midst of Wants and Needs?
Technology's role in wants vs needs is confusing, but ultimately getting the newest technology is a want. In recent years, we have integrated technology so much into our lives to the point where some think it is a need to have the newest phone. It has elevated desires into necessities. We rely on our phones to do everything, such as to get information, to connect with people, and to entertain us. Some of these need to happen, but you do not need the latest technology to do them. You can use an older model. You don't need the newest one every year. Also, you could connect with people by talking with them in person, or entertain yourself in other ways. You should consider this because their is a great environmental impact of buying a new model every year. It might be a confusing debate to have with yourself, but in the end getting the latest technology is a want.
I agree with the idea that getting the newest technology is a want. In modern days, we switch to new technology even though the old once are still able to use and not broken.
