Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint Travel Effect
My highest carbon emission was about 70,000 from travel. I have family in different continents on earth, therefore I air travel at least 12 times in one year. I also travel about 80 km with a car everyday to get to and from school. I learned that this is not healthy for the environment since planes and cars release carbon fuel into the atmosphere which combines with oxygen to create Co2. An excess of this gas is creates the Greenhouse effect, which according to https://climatekids.nasa.gov/greenhouse-effect/, is harmful since Co2 traps heat in the atmosphere like the roof of a greenhouse. That is why it is considered a greenhouse gas too. If there is too much heat in the earth, climate increases, melting ice caps and leading to more water in the atmosphere. This affects the amount of land humans have available to live on, plants ability to grow, and he earth's temperature. I could help reduce my carbon emission by carpooling, taking public transportation, and reducing my number of flights and vacations throughout the year.
