Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Hi, I'm student from Denia, Spain.

joanortiz

Hi all! I am Joan, I live in Denia, Alicante. I'm 17 and I am currently studying eleventh grade. My total footprint is 8245 kg of CO2 for year, compared with the average of Spain which is 6968 kg and 3791 kg in the world.

My mark in each category are: Transportation (1359kgs), Food (4193kgs), House (2622kgs), Shopping (71kgs).
In my region the average of every serious category: Transport (1885kgs), Show restraint (1462kgs), He marries (2620kgs), Shopping (1001kgs).

In transport it might improve in mas times to take the bus or to use less the motorcycle but it might not reduce very much in this because I her use the minimal thing. In food it might reduce it very much, which happens is that me much likes to eat. In house and in purchases I believe that this well though also it might reduce the consumption of several things to lower my fingerprint of CO2.

Thank you for paying attention and to read my post, regards.
