Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

The Reality of Climate Change and Human Influence

I think that Climate Change is naturally caused to some extent but mostly human-caused. I mean Climate Change refers to our changing climate, that's in the name itself, but I think the majority of the rapid changes of the climate have been created by humans. It is a fact that the earth's temperature has risen significantly in the past 100 years. The ice caps are melting, ocean levels are rising, certain states and countries are going into major droughts. I guess you could say that this isn't caused by humans, but alongside the rising heat of the world us humans have produced an insane amount of factories, and buildings, also over the past 100 years. Right now, as factory manufacturing in some places like China has halted, the pollution in the earth's atmosphere has plummeted. This is obvious proof that the extent of Climate Change we are facing now is human-based. We, as a species, are extremely ignorant for not believing in Climate Change until this point or even at all. Over the past 100 years, there have even been numerous books warning about the Climate and how if we continue down the path we're on without changing things, we are doomed. We are at a point where we can't just blow off those words like they don't mean anything. We can't pretend that we're not to blame when clearly science shows that we are. We are definitely past the point of blaming other things. Instead of playing Climate Change down and pointing the finger elsewhere, it's time we take responsibility, face the guilt and change things. Before we can't.
